Comfortable Stay with Room for Improvement
Had a pleasant night's stay in the Superior Double Room. Friendly staff made check-in easy. breakfast timing was restrictive. I had to leave early and received a very limited continental tray that left me hungry. Consider adjusting your breakfast plans!

The Lydden Bell features lovely, well-maintained gardens that offer a serene atmosphere for relaxation, making it perfect for seniors. The staff were exceptionally warm, making me feel welcome and cared for throughout my stay.
More accessible seating options would be appreciated.

i had a really nice stay at the lydden bell! the room was so modern and super clean, the bed was comfy and perfect for a solo traveler. the food at the pub was tasty and not your usual pub grub, great menu! the staff were friendly and made the place feel fun and inviting. plus, it was just a short bus ride to canterbury!
my only complaints are that the bathroom might not be accessible for everyone and i missed breakfast that looked super good!

Family great experience
So, we had this very nice meal at a local pub-some free bread and soup samples were brought out while we waited. The staff were super polite too, really made us feel welcome and comfortable, which is rare these days.
It was a bit pricey but not totally unreasonable.

Recommend it for a cozy stay
The room was clean and modern, felt like a true escape from reality. the breakfast was exceptional, must try the poached eggs with smoked salmon, truly fantastic.
It wasn’t inexpensive but still felt worth it for the experience.

The Superior Twin Room offers ample space with comfortable bedding, a perfect setup for those traveling in groups. The breakfast provided, albeit packed, hits the spot for busy mornings before heading out.
Check-in could use some organization—arriving and not knowing which room was ours was frustrating. The absence of a ring doorbell meant no direct contact for assistance upon our late arrival. The room, while spacious, felt a bit bare, lacking some homely touches like rugs or proper workspace furniture that could really elevate the experience.

Perfect getaway with amazing food
I had a relaxing one-night stay in a Superior Double Room, and it was absolutely delightful! The spacious room was pristine and cozy, which was perfect for a solo traveler. Dining in the pub was a highlight, with well-presented meals like scampi and a trio of beef, all of which tasted incredible and were clearly made with fresh ingredients. The friendly and welcoming staff made the experience even better! Although I wish breakfast started earlier, I appreciated the lovely breakfast trays provided since I had to leave early for the ferry.

It was just an optimal selection for a short-term stay in Dover, great for the money. The breakfast tray provided when I had to leave early had a small pastry that was a nice touch. Make sure to check breakfast hours if you're an early riser.

The staff were incredibly attentive, making our stay a delight. The restaurant offered a fabulous range of dishes, including the standout smoked guinea fowl, all in a charming atmosphere. Our room was tastefully decorated and provided all the essentials we needed. the noise from the nearby pub was occasionally disruptive at night, and the parking could fill up quickly during busy hours.

We had a warm welcome at The Lydden Bell, and the accommodation was lovely. Our room was cozy and equipped with everything we needed for our night stay. The dinner was delicious and had a nice atmosphere in the pub, and breakfast was made fresh to order.
Shower was over a bath instead of a walk-in.

Had a lovely two-night stay where the room was spacious and the heated floors were a nice surprise on a chilly evening! I enjoyed relaxing on the sun terrace and in the garden area, both perfect for unwinding. Just a small note, breakfast starts a bit later than I’d prefer, but overall, it was great value for the price! 😊
